"Tremiti is an extreme place, my soul place"
Lucio Dalla
With its rugged and wild nature, the archipelago of the Tremiti Islands, defined as the Pearls of the Adriatic, is one of the most beautiful natural habitats in the entire Mediterranean. It is a nature reserve that includes five islands, San Domino, San Nicola, Capraia, Cretaccio and Pianosa.
Looking at the transparency of the seabed, the shades of the water that change from light green to blue and turquoise, it is hard to believe that you are in the Adriatic.
A legend has it that they were born from three pebbles, thrown into the water by the Greek king Diomedes on his return from the Trojan war, a legend from which the islands also take the name of Diomedee. The mythological aura contributes to making this place even more fascinating.
